IckySticky Quick Set Cement 40ml — Fast-Bonding Solvent Cement for Plastic Models

IckySticky Quick Set Cement is a solvent-based adhesive formulated to bond polystyrene plastic with a fast 10–15 second set time. It uses the same chemical welding principle as the Extra Thin Cement — dissolving the plastic surfaces to fuse them into a single solid bond — but sets significantly faster, letting you move on to the next assembly step without waiting.

The quick set time makes it ideal for builders who want to maintain momentum during a build session, and for assemblies where parts need to be held in position only briefly before the bond takes hold.

Post-Assembly Only

Quick Set Cement is designed for post-assembly application only. Hold or pre-fit the two parts together in their final position, then touch the brush to the seam. The formula has excellent capillary action and wicks along the join, welding the parts together within 10–15 seconds.

Unlike the Extra Thin Cement which can be used pre-assembly or post-assembly, Quick Set Cement requires parts to be held together before application — the fast set time doesn’t allow for repositioning after the cement is applied.

Extra Thin Cement

Slower set time — allows repositioning and adjustment after application. Can be used pre-assembly or post-assembly. Best for complex assemblies where parts need precise alignment, and for beginners who want more working time.

Quick Set Cement

Sets in 10–15 seconds — parts bond fast with minimal holding time. Post-assembly only. Best for experienced builders who want to move through a build quickly, and for simple joins where precise repositioning isn’t needed.

Both produce the same strong, permanent solvent weld on polystyrene plastic.

Fine Pointed Brush Applicator

The cap includes a built-in fine pointed brush for precise application into tight spaces, along panel lines, and around small parts. The brush is long enough to reach the bottom of the bottle for consistent application right to the last drop.

What It Bonds

Compatible Materials

Polystyrene (PS) — plastic model kits from Tamiya, Revell, Airfix, Bandai, and others
Styrene sheet and strip — scratchbuilding and kitbashing
ABS plastic — with reduced effectiveness

Not Compatible

Does not bond resin, metal, wood, or 3D printed parts (PLA, PETG, etc.). Use super glue (CA adhesive) for those materials.
