Standard PLA, But Stronger
PLA+ takes everything that makes PLA the most popular 3D printing filament — easy printing, low warping, no enclosure required — and adds approximately 20% more stiffness, improved impact resistance, and better heat tolerance. It prints with the same settings as regular PLA but produces parts that are noticeably tougher and less brittle.
If you’ve had PLA parts crack on you, snap at thin sections, or break during assembly, PLA+ is the fix that doesn’t require changing your workflow.
PLA+ vs PLA — What’s the Upgrade?
Standard PLA is easy to print but brittle — it snaps under impact rather than flexing. PLA+ uses modified PLA compounds that improve toughness and stiffness without sacrificing printability. Parts printed in PLA+ are harder to break, handle mechanical stress better, and hold up more reliably in functional applications like clips, brackets, enclosures, and snap-fit assemblies.
The heat tolerance is also slightly improved over standard PLA, though PLA+ still isn’t suited for high-temperature applications. For sustained heat exposure, PETG or ASA remain the better choices.

PLA+ is available in one of the widest colour ranges in our store. Choose from core colours like Black, Paper White, Milk White, and Grey, natural tones including Skin/Beige, Latte Brown, Brown, and Graphite, a full range of blues, greens, reds, and warm tones, metallic effects in Gold, Silver, and Bronze, and a Transparent option for light diffusers and display pieces.
The vibrant pigments in PLA+ tend to produce richer, more saturated colours than basic PLA — particularly noticeable in reds, blues, and greens.
