Description

Carbon Fibre Reinforced ASA — Stiff, UV Stable, Outdoor Ready

Eryone ASA-CF10 combines the UV resistance and weather durability of ASA with 10% chopped carbon fibre reinforcement for increased stiffness, reduced warping, and improved dimensional stability. It’s the filament to choose when your outdoor functional parts need more rigidity than standard ASA can provide — drone frames, automotive trim, outdoor enclosures, and structural mounts that face sun, rain, and mechanical load.

The carbon fibre reinforcement reduces thermal expansion and adds stiffness without significantly increasing weight, while the ASA base ensures the part holds its colour and structural integrity under prolonged UV exposure.

ASA-CF vs Standard ASA — What’s the Upgrade?

Standard ASA is already an excellent outdoor material. ASA-CF10 adds 10% carbon fibre for noticeably higher rigidity and better dimensional accuracy on larger prints. The carbon fibre also produces a professional matte finish that hides layer lines. Choose standard ASA when flexibility and impact absorption matter; choose ASA-CF when stiffness and precision are the priority.

ASA-CF vs PLA-CF — Which to Choose?

PLA-CF is easier to print (lower temps, no enclosure) but degrades in sunlight and softens above 55°C. ASA-CF handles sustained outdoor UV exposure, moisture, and temperatures up to approximately 113°C. For any carbon fibre part that will live outdoors, ASA-CF is the right material.

Print Settings

Nozzle temperature: 230–260°C
Bed temperature: 75–90°C
Print speed: 30–50 mm/s (adjust based on printer)
Enclosure: recommended — reduces warping and contains fumes
Ventilation: required — ASA emits fumes during printing
Nozzle: hardened steel highly recommended — carbon fibre is abrasive
Drying: recommended before first use

Ideal Applications

Outdoor drone frames and structural components, automotive trim and under-bonnet brackets, weatherproof enclosures and sensor housings, garden fixtures and outdoor signage, solar panel mounts and outdoor cable management, any functional part requiring UV resistance combined with carbon fibre stiffness
