Basic Matte PLA delivers the same layer-hiding, non-reflective surface finish as premium matte filaments — at $17.99 per KG. If you want the matte look without paying extra, this is the filament to start with. Available in six core colours that cover the majority of everyday printing needs.
The matte surface absorbs light instead of reflecting it, making layer lines significantly less visible than on standard glossy PLA. Prints come off the build plate looking smoother and more professional, often with no sanding or post-processing needed.
We stock three matte PLA options at different price points. Basic Matte PLA at $17.99 gives you the matte finish in six core colours with a ±0.05 mm tolerance — great value for everyday printing. Eryone Matte PLA at $19.99 adds 21 colour options, tighter ±0.03 mm tolerance, and high-speed support up to 500 mm/s. Siddament Matte V2 at $19.99 offers another premium option with its own colour range.
If you’re printing functional parts, prototypes, or models where the matte finish matters but colour variety doesn’t, Basic Matte PLA is the smart choice. If you need specific earthy tones, deep reds, or high-speed printing, step up to Eryone or Siddament.

Basic Matte PLA ships on a lightweight cardboard spool with waxed edges, designed for reliable feeding through the Bambu Lab AMS and AMS Lite. The cardboard construction is easy to recycle when the spool is empty.
