Description
Prusa xBuddy Board — OEM Mainboard for CORE One / CORE One+ / CORE One L
The xBuddy board is the mainboard that controls the Prusa CORE One, CORE One+, and CORE One L — handling motor control, heating, sensors, connectivity, and all core printer functions. This is the OEM replacement board for printers experiencing mainboard failures, electrical damage, or firmware-unrecoverable faults.
Includes three thermal pads for proper heat dissipation from onboard components during installation.
Important: Check Your Power Panic Wiring First
This xBuddy board is only compatible with two-wire Power Panic connections (black and white wires). Before ordering, check your printer’s existing Power Panic cable. If your printer uses a different wire configuration, this board will not be compatible. Refer to the Prusa Knowledge Base to confirm your printer’s wiring before purchasing.
When to Replace the xBuddy Board
Mainboard failure preventing the printer from powering on or booting, electrical damage from a power surge, short circuit, or wiring fault, persistent firmware errors that don’t resolve with reflashing, physical damage to the board from moisture, corrosion, or component failure, and as advised by Prusa support after diagnosing a mainboard-level fault.
Mainboard replacement is a significant repair — if you’re experiencing printer issues, confirm with Prusa’s support resources or knowledge base that the xBuddy board is genuinely the cause before ordering, as many faults (heating, motion, sensors) trace back to simpler components.
