Description
Hotend Heating Assembly for Bambu Lab A1 / A1 Mini — Compatible Replacement Kit
This compatible heating assembly is a complete replacement for the heater and temperature sensing parts on the Bambu Lab A1 and A1 Mini hotend. If your printer is showing heating errors, taking too long to reach temperature, or holding an unstable nozzle temperature, this kit replaces the parts that heat and measure the nozzle in one go, with no need to diagnose which individual component has failed.
It’s an aftermarket alternative to the Bambu Lab part, built to fit the A1 series’ quick-swap hotend.
Complete Kit — Not Just a Heater
The kit combines the ceramic heater, the thermistor (temperature sensor), the heat-insulating base, and the clip that holds the nozzle in place. Replacing them together means the new heater and sensor are matched, and the base and clip are fresh. That avoids the common problem of fitting a new heater into a worn clamp that doesn’t hold the nozzle firmly.
When to Replace
Heating failure or temperature error messages, slow or inconsistent heat-up to target temperature, nozzle temperature fluctuating during printing despite correct settings, a thermistor reading that jumps or sits at an impossible value, damaged or frayed wiring on the heater or sensor, and a cracked or deformed base or loose nozzle clip.
Before replacing, check the hotend connector is seated fully. A loose connector can cause similar symptoms to a failed heater or sensor.
Quick-Swap Design
The A1 series uses a quick-swap hotend, and this assembly fits into the same position. The heater and thermistor connect through the printer’s standard hotend connector, so you don’t need to splice or solder wiring.
Installation
Power off the printer and let the hotend cool completely before handling any parts. Remove the old nozzle and heating assembly, fit the new assembly, secure it with the clip and screws, and reconnect the hotend wiring. Make sure the connector is pushed in fully. Route the cable carefully so it isn’t pinched by the toolhead cover.
After installation, power on the printer and heat the hotend to confirm the temperature rises normally and the readings are stable before resuming normal printing. Refer to the Bambu Lab Wiki for the A1 hotend heating assembly replacement guide for the full step-by-step procedure.
Never touch the heater block or nozzle while the hotend is hot.
