EIBOS Cold Build Plate Krios — Symmetrical, Double-Sided, Low-Temperature Adhesion

The EIBOS Krios is a double-sided cold build plate for Bambu Lab printers, designed so there’s no wrong way to install it. The nozzle wipe zones are laid out symmetrically, so the plate works in either direction. It also grips PLA from 40°C and PETG from 55°C without glue, which means lower bed temperatures, less warping on big flat prints, and less energy spent heating the bed.

Symmetrical Design — No Wrong Way Round

Many build plates have a front and back, and fitting one the wrong way puts the nozzle wipe zone in the wrong place. Krios has four nozzle wipe zones in a fully symmetrical layout, so the zone is always in the correct position whichever way you place it. Swap plates quickly without checking orientation.

Strong Adhesion at Lower Temperatures

The surface grips PLA starting at 40°C and PETG at 55°C. Cooler beds reduce the thermal stress that causes warping and corner lift on large flat prints, and they shorten heat-up time between jobs. No glue is needed.

9-Layer Construction

A high-hardness, high-magnetism spring steel base carries a special coating formula. The microporous surface layer bonds with filament without needing high bed temperatures, and impact-resistant middle layers protect the plate against accidental nozzle collisions.

Effortless Print Removal

Let the plate cool, then flex it and prints release cleanly. Most prints come off without a scraper, which protects both the part and the surface.

Double-Sided

Both sides carry the same coating and performance. When one side wears, flip the plate over for a fresh surface and extend its overall life.

Built-In AR Codes

AR codes are printed on both sides of the plate. Select the matching plate type in Bambu Studio and your X1 series or P2S printer will verify the plate automatically before printing.

Easy to Clean

Wipe the plate with clean water to restore adhesion. No special solvents are needed.

Do not use isopropyl alcohol (IPA), acetone, or other organic solvents. They will damage the coating.

Troubleshooting

Installation or Plate Detection Errors

Temporarily disable build plate detection, following Bambu Lab’s official guidelines.

X1C Can’t Read the AR Code

This is most likely a firmware issue, not a plate defect. Update your firmware to 01.11.02.00 or later, clean the camera lens on the toolhead with a microfibre cloth, and make sure the plate is seated flat and aligned with the magnetic platform.
