AMS Lite Filament Hub for Bambu Lab A1 / A1 Mini — Compatible Replacement

This is a compatible replacement filament hub for the AMS Lite on the Bambu Lab A1 and A1 Mini. The hub sits at the top of the toolhead and merges the four filament tubes coming from the AMS Lite into the single path that feeds the extruder. When it’s worn, cracked, or loose, filament snags during colour changes, and this cheap part is usually the fix.

It’s an aftermarket alternative to the Bambu Lab hub, a straightforward swap that gets multi-colour printing running reliably again.

What the Filament Hub Does

On an AMS Lite setup, four PTFE tubes carry filament from the spools to the toolhead. The hub is where those four tubes come together. One side connects to the four tubes (up to four filaments), and the other connects to the top of the extruder. Filament from whichever spool is active is guided into the extruder, and the others stay out of the way.

When to Replace

Filament snagging or jamming during colour changes, loading or unloading failures that trace back to the hub rather than the extruder, visible cracks, wear, or damage to the hub body, a hub that no longer seats firmly on the toolhead, and tubes that won’t grip or keep popping out of their ports.

Check the hub early when troubleshooting multi-colour feeding problems. It’s a common cause of change-over jams and quick to rule in or out.

Easy Installation

The hub swaps in at the toolhead filament inlet. Disconnect the four PTFE tubes from the old hub, remove the buckle holding it in place, fit the new hub, secure it with the buckle, and reconnect the tubes. Check each tube is pushed fully home and gives a firm tug-test before you start a print.
