Description
Bambu Lab A2L — Creative Playground. Extra Large.
The Bambu Lab A2L is a large-format open-frame 3D printer that brings 105% more build volume than the standard A1 — with a 330 × 320 × 325 mm print area that lets you create oversized cosplay props, large home décor, RC car bodies, and batch production runs without splitting models into pieces and gluing them together.
Bambu Lab describes the A2L as an “H2S Lite” — delivering professional-grade features at a significantly more accessible price point while maintaining the plug-and-play simplicity the A-series is known for. Print speeds reach up to 500 mm/s with adaptive vibration compensation ensuring quality isn’t sacrificed for speed.
Available as the A2L (printer only) or A2L Combo (with AMS Lite for multi-colour printing).
105% More Build Volume
The A2L’s 330 × 320 × 325 mm build volume is more than double the usable space of standard 256 mm-class printers like the A1. This means cosplay helmet and armour pieces print in one piece instead of being split and glued, large vases, décor, and display pieces print without seam lines, batch printing fits more parts per plate — fewer print sessions for production runs, and RC bodies, drone frames, and large functional parts print whole.
Multi-Colour — Up to 19 Filaments
The A2L supports up to four AMS and AMS Lite units simultaneously, enabling printing with up to 19 colours of non-engineering materials like PLA and PETG. Combined with the large build volume, this opens up massive multi-colour prints that would require multiple sessions on smaller machines.
Available as the A2L Combo with one AMS Lite included, or add additional AMS units as your needs grow.
More Than a 3D Printer
The A2L supports modular add-on tools that transform it beyond 3D printing:
Blade Cutting Module
Attach the blade module to cut vinyl, stickers, thin card, and other sheet materials — turning the A2L into a craft cutter similar to a Cricut or Silhouette.
Pen Plotting Module
Mount a pen to draw, sketch, or write on paper and other flat media. Useful for custom cards, technical drawings, and art projects.
These modules use camera-assisted alignment via Bambu Handy, with a “Print-then-Cut” OTA update planned for even tighter integration between 3D printing and 2D cutting workflows.
Ultra-Quiet Operation
The A2L uses a PMSM servo motor with built-in dampers for exceptionally quiet printing. Combined with adaptive vibration compensation, it’s quiet enough for home offices, living spaces, classrooms, and shared workshops where noise is a concern.
Professional Features at an Accessible Price
Auto bed levelling and flow calibration, active flow rate compensation via eddy current sensor, vibration compensation for clean prints at speed, built-in camera for remote monitoring and time-lapse, Wi-Fi connectivity with Bambu Handy app control, and full integration with the Bambu Lab ecosystem including Bambu Studio slicer.
Supported Materials
The A2L is an open-frame printer optimised for non-engineering materials:
PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA — ideal
ABS, ASA, PC, PA — not recommended (open frame, no enclosed chamber)
For engineering materials requiring an enclosed chamber, see the Bambu Lab P2S, H2S, or X1C.
Available Configurations
