Description
Bambu Lab H2S — Bambu Lab’s Largest Single-Nozzle Printer
The Bambu Lab H2S takes the dual-nozzle H2D platform and distills it into a single, more affordable toolhead — without sacrificing build volume, speed, or engineering-grade material capability. With a 340 × 320 × 340mm build volume (120% larger than the X1 Carbon), a 65°C actively heated chamber, and toolhead speeds up to 1000mm/s, the H2S is built for makers who need to print big, print fast, and print in demanding materials — without the complexity or cost of dual-nozzle switching.
The Largest Build Volume in the Bambu Lab Range
At 340 × 320 × 340mm, the H2S offers more usable print space than any other Bambu Lab printer — 120% larger than the X1 Carbon. That means large single-piece prints, tall models, and high-volume batch runs that simply don’t fit on smaller machines, all without splitting parts or gluing sections together.
350°C Hotend + 65°C Heated Chamber
The all-metal hotend reaches up to 350°C and pairs with an actively heated, fully enclosed chamber up to 65°C — supporting the entire Bambu filament lineup from PLA and PETG through to PC and PPA. Closed-loop fan control and precise thermal management minimise warping and deformation while improving layer adhesion, letting you build large, high-performance parts that hold their shape and strength.
An automatic flap system opens a top vent for low-temperature filaments like PLA (admitting cool air) or seals shut for high-temperature materials like ABS (recirculating heated air) — giving reliable results across the full material range without any manual chamber adjustments.
Tool-Less Quick-Swap Nozzle
The nozzle assembly is magnetically retained and clip-locked — the same tool-less quick-swap mechanism used on the Bambu Lab A1 series. Switch between nozzle sizes (0.2–0.8mm) or materials in seconds, no tools required. The standard 0.4mm hardened steel hotend delivers up to 40 mm³/s max flow; an optional high-flow 0.4mm hotend pushes that to 65 mm³/s.
Serious Speed — 1000mm/s, 30% Faster Than X1C
Bambu Lab’s proprietary PMSM servo extrusion system delivers 67% more extrusion force than regular stepper motors, providing strong support for high-flow printing at up to 1000mm/s toolhead speed and 20,000mm/s² acceleration. In real-world testing (Bambu Lab PLA Basic, 200×200×200mm cube, 15% infill), this cuts print time by up to 30% compared to the X1 Carbon — without sacrificing quality.
Precision That Holds Over Time
Vision Encoder — Sub-50μm Accuracy
With the optional Vision Encoder, the H2S achieves distance-independent motion accuracy under 50 microns — thinner than a human hair — and automatically compensates for mechanical drift during calibration, maintaining consistent precision as the printer ages.
Auto Hole/Contour Compensation
Minimises printing tolerances for machine-shop-level hole dimensions, so shafts, bearings, and fasteners fit fit-critical parts without trial and error.
Real-Time Flow Control
The H2S combines servo motor sensing on the extruder with high-resolution eddy current sensors on the nozzle to precisely measure nozzle pressure and calibrate Pressure Advance per filament — improving surface smoothness and edge sharpness. Active Vibration Compensation neutralises micro-vibrations and resonance in real time for premium quality even at high speed.
AI-Driven Monitoring & Safety
23 sensors and 3 cameras power a real-time AI vision system that detects clumping, spaghetti, and purge chute jamming as they happen — helping prevent failed prints before material is wasted. The vision system also runs a pre-flight chamber check, confirming build plate type, nozzle type, and scanning for objects left on the bed. The custom extruder motor uses positional feedback to detect filament grinding and clogging in real time.
Whisper-Quiet Operation
Active Motor Noise Cancelling combined with specialised air duct noise-reduction keeps the H2S operating below 50dB — quiet enough for overnight printing or shared workspaces without disruption.
Multi-Colour Printing & Filament Drying
AMS 2 Pro
A 4-spool feeder, sealed and heated up to 65°C to double as a filament dryer. An electromagnetic vent releases moisture, spools rotate automatically for even drying, and RFID auto-configures drying settings for Bambu Lab filaments — no manual input required. Filament feeds through wear-resistant ceramic ports for reliable high-speed feeding via brushless servo motors.
AMS HT Compatible
Add an AMS HT for a single-spool unit that dries up to 85°C — ideal for engineering materials that need higher drying temperatures than the AMS 2 Pro provides, with a bypass outlet for soft or brittle filaments.
Optional Laser & Cutting
The H2S supports an optional 10W laser and cutting module (does not support the 40W laser used on the H2D). A non-laser H2S can be upgraded to laser capability via an upgrade kit — note this uses an external air pump requiring separate installation and air tube connection, differing from the built-in air pump on Laser Edition units.
Connectivity & Offline Operation
Dual-band Wi-Fi with control via Bambu Studio, the Bambu Handy app, or the 5″ full-colour touchscreen on the printer itself. Full offline operation is supported — control the printer, send files, and update firmware without a cloud connection. Developer Mode unlocks MQTT port access for third-party integration.
Supported Materials
PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, BVOH, ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET, PPS, plus carbon and glass fibre reinforced variants.
