E3D V6 CHT Hardened Steel Nozzle — High Flow + Abrasion Resistance

The E3D V6 CHT Hardened Steel Nozzle combines Core Heating Technology (CHT) with hardened steel construction — solving two problems with one nozzle. The CHT internal design dramatically increases melt flow for faster printing, while the hardened steel resists wear from abrasive filaments. If you want to print fast with carbon fibre, glass fibre, or metal-fill on a V6 hotend, this is the nozzle to use.

At $7.99, it’s only $1 more than the standard hardened steel V6 nozzle — making the CHT upgrade essentially free.

CHT — Core Heating Technology

Standard nozzles melt filament from the outside in through a single channel. The CHT design splits the incoming filament into three separate internal channels, dramatically increasing the surface area in contact with the heated nozzle walls. More surface area means faster, more even melting — achieving up to 3× the volumetric flow rate of a standard single-channel nozzle of the same diameter.

This means you can print faster before hitting the flow ceiling that causes under-extrusion, rough surfaces, and weak layer bonding at speed.

Available Sizes

0.2 mm

Ultra-fine detail. CHT benefits are minimal at this size — the small bore limits flow regardless. Best for non-abrasive materials.

0.4 mm

The standard all-rounder with significantly improved flow over a standard 0.4 mm. The size where CHT makes the biggest practical difference for everyday printing.

0.6 mm

Fast functional prints with excellent CHT-enhanced throughput. Recommended for abrasive filaments where the wider bore reduces clogging risk.

0.8 mm

Maximum flow for large parts, vase-mode, and draft prints. CHT + 0.8 mm delivers very high volumetric throughput.

Compatibility

Fits any hotend using the E3D V6 (PS) nozzle standard, including E3D V6 and V6 all-metal, Phaetus Dragon and Dragonfly, Slice Mosquito and Copperhead, Prusa MK3, MK3S, MK3S+, and all third-party V6-compatible hotends.

Not compatible with Revo, Nextruder, Bambu Lab, Creality K1/K2, or other proprietary nozzle systems.
