Description
Phaetus Silicon Carbide Nozzle for Creality K2 Series — 7× the Life of Hardened Steel
The Phaetus Silicon Carbide nozzle for the Creality K2 series combines silicon carbide — with a Mohs hardness of 9.8, just below diamond — with Phaetus’s patented EndCoat™ coating for dual wear-resistant protection. The result is a nozzle that lasts up to 7 times longer than standard hardened steel, handles every abrasive filament on the market, and delivers high-flow performance at speeds up to 600 mm/s.
If you print carbon fibre, glass fibre, metal-fill, wood-fill, or any other abrasive composite on your K2 Plus, this is the nozzle that stops you replacing nozzles.
Dual Wear Protection — SiC + EndCoat™
Silicon carbide alone is one of the hardest materials used in nozzle manufacturing. Adding EndCoat™ on top creates a dual-layer defence — the SiC body resists bore wear from abrasive particles flowing through, while the EndCoat™ surface treatment protects the nozzle tip and exterior from buildup and thermal degradation. Together, they extend service life to 7× that of standard hardened steel.
The inner bore roughness is below Ra 0.4, ensuring smooth filament flow with minimal adhesion and residue buildup inside the nozzle.
High Flow, High Speed
The enlarged nozzle chamber is designed for maximum volumetric throughput:
0.4 mm
Maximum flow rate: 30 mm³/s at up to 600 mm/s. The all-rounder size with high-flow capability for everyday fast printing across all materials.
0.6 mm
Maximum flow rate: 40 mm³/s at up to 600 mm/s. Higher throughput for fast functional prints. Recommended for abrasive CF and GF filaments where the wider bore reduces clogging risk.
All-Metal Integrated Quick-Swap
The nozzle uses an all-metal integrated design — nozzle and heatbreak in one unit — with tight joint fitting that prevents filament leakage during printing. The quick-swap system allows nozzle changes in under 2 minutes without tools.
