Description
Prusa LoveBoard — OEM Nextruder Connector Board
The LoveBoard is a compact connector board mounted on the Nextruder side of the printhead, serving as the wiring interface between the main control board (xBuddy on CORE One, or the mainboard on MK4/MK3.9) and the Nextruder’s components — including the load cell and filament sensor connectors.
If your printer is showing load cell errors, filament sensor faults, or Nextruder communication issues that persist after checking cables and connections, the LoveBoard is a likely cause.
What the LoveBoard Does
Rather than running individual wires from every Nextruder sensor and component directly to the mainboard, the LoveBoard consolidates these connections into a single compact interface at the printhead. This simplifies wiring, makes Nextruder maintenance and component replacement easier, and provides dedicated connectors for the load cell and filament sensor.
When to Replace
Load cell errors or failed first layer calibration that isn’t resolved by replacing the heatsink/load cell itself, filament sensor not detecting filament presence correctly, intermittent Nextruder connectivity or communication faults, physical damage to the board from a printhead crash or wiring snag, and as part of Nextruder electronics troubleshooting when simpler causes have been ruled out.
