Description
Prusa Nextruder Hotend Brass High Flow — Complete Assembled Hotend for Faster Printing
This is a complete, fully assembled Nextruder hotend — not just a nozzle. It includes the E3D High Flow brass nozzle, heater block, 40W heater, and NTC 100K thermistor, ready to install as a single unit. Swap your existing hotend for this high-flow version and unlock significantly higher volumetric flow rates for faster printing without the under-extrusion that standard nozzles produce at speed.
The E3D High Flow nozzle uses a unique 4-channel internal geometry that splits the filament into four separate melt paths, dramatically increasing the surface area in contact with the heated nozzle walls. More surface area means faster, more even melting — allowing you to push print speeds higher before hitting the flow ceiling.
Complete Hotend — Not Just a Nozzle
What’s Included
E3D High Flow brass nozzle (selected size)
Nextruder heater block
40W heater (120 mm leads)
NTC 100K thermistor (115 mm leads)
Everything is pre-assembled — install the complete hotend as one unit. No individual component assembly required.
4-Channel High Flow Design
Standard Nextruder nozzles melt filament through a single channel. The E3D High Flow design splits the incoming filament into four separate internal channels, increasing the contact surface area with the heated walls. This melts filament faster and more evenly, enabling significantly higher volumetric flow rates and faster print speeds before under-extrusion occurs.
The high-flow nozzle maintains the exact same form factor as standard Prusa nozzles — no mount modifications, no fan duct changes, no slicer workarounds. It’s a direct drop-in upgrade.
All-Metal Filament Path
The Nextruder hotend integrates the heatbreak directly into the nozzle, creating an entirely all-metal filament path with no PTFE in the melt zone. This improves reliability, eliminates PTFE degradation at high temperatures, and makes nozzle changes faster — no need to preheat the hotend for installation.
Available Sizes
0.4 mm
The standard all-rounder with high-flow capability. The size where the 4-channel design makes the biggest practical difference — significantly more flow than a standard 0.4 mm nozzle while maintaining fine detail.
0.6 mm
Fast functional prints with excellent high-flow throughput. Great for structural parts, prototypes, and larger models where speed matters.
Brass — For Non-Abrasive Filaments
Brass offers the best thermal conductivity of any nozzle material, delivering the fastest and most even heat transfer to the filament. Use the brass high-flow hotend for PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PA, PC, and all other non-abrasive materials.
For abrasive filaments (carbon fibre, glass fibre, metal-fill, glow-in-the-dark), use a hardened steel, silicon carbide, or ObXidian nozzle instead — brass will wear rapidly.
Compatibility
Prusa MK3.9 / MK3.9S
Prusa MK4 / MK4S
Prusa XL
Prusa CORE One / CORE One+
Prusa CORE One L
Not compatible with the MK3/MK3S/MK3S+ (which use E3D V6 nozzles), Prusa MINI, or any non-Nextruder printer.
Installation
The hotend swaps as a complete pre-assembled unit. Follow the Prusa Knowledge Base repair manual for your specific printer model. Nozzle size is engraved on the nozzle for easy identification.
