Description

Full-Size Klipper Mainboard for High-Performance Builds

The BIGTREETECH Manta M8P v2.0 is an 8-driver Klipper mainboard built for large, complex, and high-speed 3D printers. Powered by an STM32H723ZET6 MCU running at 550 MHz — nearly 9× faster than the M5P’s 64 MHz processor — it delivers the processing headroom needed for advanced Klipper features like input shaping, pressure advance, and multi-stepper coordination across large CoreXY and multi-Z builds.

Like the M5P, it integrates a CM4-compatible socket for the BIGTREETECH CB2 or Raspberry Pi CM4, giving you a complete mainboard + host computer on a single board. But with 8 stepper driver slots, expanded I/O, and a significantly faster MCU, the M8P v2.0 is the board for printers that need more.

M8P v2.0 vs M5P — Which Do You Need?

Manta M5P ($89.99) — 5 stepper drivers, 64 MHz MCU. Best for compact builds like Voron V0 and Ender 3 conversions where space is limited and 5 drivers are sufficient.

Manta M8P v2.0 ($104.99) — 8 stepper drivers, 550 MHz MCU. Built for larger printers like Voron 2.4, VzBot, RatRig, and multi-Z setups that need more drivers, more I/O, and faster processing.

If your build has more than 5 stepper motors or you want maximum processing headroom, the M8P v2.0 is the right choice.

v2.0 Improvements

The v2.0 revision adds I2C interface, 5V servo output, expanded general-purpose IO, and a dedicated TFT display interface. The power system has been redesigned with a 12V power solution and an optimised 5V supply circuit for improved stability when powering the compute module and peripherals.

8 Stepper Drivers — SPI & UART

Eight stepper driver slots support SPI and UART driver modes, covering complex printer configurations including quad Z, dual X/Y, multi-extruder, and CoreXY with independent Z motors. Compatible with TMC2209, TMC2226, TMC5160, and other common driver modules.

550 MHz Processing Power

The STM32H723ZET6 MCU at 550 MHz provides substantial processing headroom for computationally intensive Klipper features. Input shaping calculations, multi-stepper step generation, and pressure advance all benefit from the faster clock speed — resulting in smoother motion, higher achievable print speeds, and more responsive printer behaviour.

eFuse Protection & Selectable Fan Voltage

The same eFuse overload protection found on the M5P is included — automatic disconnect on short circuit with auto-reset when the fault clears. Fan headers support selectable 5V, 12V, or 24V output via jumper, so you can run mixed-voltage fans and LEDs without external converters.

CAN Bus & Expansion

A reserved CAN Bus port connects directly to BIGTREETECH EBB toolhead boards, reducing toolhead wiring to four wires. Additional expansion includes BLTouch and probe ports, RGB LED output, filament runout sensor, acceleration sensor header for input shaping, PT1000 thermistor support, I2C, 5V servo output, and auto-shutdown support.

Onboard CM4 / CB2 Socket

The BTB connector accepts Raspberry Pi CM4, BIGTREETECH CB2, and CB1 compute modules. The TPS5450 5A power chip provides stable power to the module. Don’t have a compute module yet? Purchase the CB2 here.
