Description
OEM Complete Hotend for Bambu Lab X1 Carbon
The Bambu Lab X1 Complete Hotend is a genuine OEM all-metal hotend assembly for the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon. This is the full unit — nozzle, heater block, heatbreak, heater cartridge, and thermistor — designed as a direct drop-in replacement. Whether you’re dealing with a failing thermistor, leaking heat block, worn nozzle, or persistent extrusion issues, this kit replaces every hotend component in a single swap.
Available in four nozzle sizes with hardened steel or stainless steel construction, the X1 Complete Hotend covers everything from ultra-fine detail work to high-speed production printing with engineering-grade and abrasive filaments.
Available Nozzle Options
0.2 mm Stainless Steel (SS) — Maximum resolution for miniatures, fine text, and highly detailed models. Best with non-abrasive filaments like PLA, PETG, and silk. Not recommended for carbon fibre or glass fibre composites as the small orifice is prone to clogging with particle-loaded filaments.
0.4 mm Hardened Steel (HS) — The standard all-rounder. Balances print speed and detail for everyday use across all materials, including abrasive composites like PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PA-CF, and PA-GF.
0.6 mm Hardened Steel (HS) — Faster prints with thicker layers. Ideal for functional parts, enclosures, and larger models where speed matters more than fine surface detail. Excellent throughput with abrasive filaments.
0.8 mm Hardened Steel (HS) — Maximum speed and material flow. Best for large structural parts, draft prototypes, and vase-mode prints where rapid turnaround is the priority.
Complete Hotend vs Nozzle-Only Replacement
If your issue is limited to a worn nozzle tip, a nozzle-only swap may be all you need — see our TZ 4.0 Hardened Steel Nozzle Kit for X1C/P1P/P1S. However, if you’re seeing temperature fluctuations, thermistor error codes, filament leaking from the heat block, or persistent clogs that don’t resolve with nozzle changes, the fault likely sits deeper in the hotend assembly. The complete hotend replaces everything in one swap, saving you the time of diagnosing individual components.
Keeping a spare complete hotend on hand is also a practical choice — if your hotend fails mid-print, swap the full assembly and continue printing while you clean or troubleshoot the old one later.
Built for the X1 Carbon’s Engineering Capabilities
The X1 Carbon is designed for high-performance printing with engineering-grade materials in an enclosed, heated chamber. This OEM hotend is matched to those capabilities, supporting nozzle temperatures up to 300°C for materials like ABS, ASA, PA (nylon), PC (polycarbonate), PA-CF, PA-GF, PET-CF, and other advanced composites. The hardened steel nozzle options ensure consistent extrusion accuracy even after extended use with abrasive filaments.
Compatibility
This OEM hotend is designed for the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon (X1C). It is not compatible with the P1 series or the A1 series, which use different hotend assemblies. For the P1P and P1S, see our Bambu Lab P1 Complete Hotend. For the A1 and A1 Mini, see the Bambu Lab A1 / A1 Mini Hotend.
Installation
Power off the printer and allow the existing hotend to cool completely before removal. Release the hotend from the toolhead, disconnect the wiring harness, and remove the old assembly. Connect the new complete hotend, secure it in the toolhead, and update the nozzle size and material information on the printer screen or in Bambu Studio. A full calibration is recommended after installation for optimal print quality.
