Colourful Magic PLA combines standard biodegradable PLA with laser-cut glitter particles that catch the light to produce a stunning multi-colour sparkle effect. Unlike flat solid colours, Magic PLA shifts and shimmers as you rotate the print, giving finished parts a premium decorative quality that’s impossible to replicate with paint or post-processing.

Each filament strand is loaded with fine glitter flakes that remain visible through transparent and translucent PLA layers, producing prints that look hand-finished despite coming straight off the printer. The base PLA prints as easily as any standard PLA, with no special hardware requirements.

Printing Tips for Best Results

Magic PLA prints at the same temperatures as standard PLA (190–220°C) and works on any FDM 3D printer. However, the glitter particles are slightly abrasive, so a hardened steel nozzle is recommended for high-volume use — a standard brass nozzle will still work but may wear faster than with plain PLA.

Bed adhesion glue or a glue stick is highly recommended. The glitter content can reduce layer adhesion on certain build surfaces, and glue helps ensure reliable first-layer grip.

Print slower than plain PLA (50–120 mm/s is the sweet spot) for the best visible glitter effect — very fast prints can reduce how much sparkle shows through the surface layers.

Like all standard PLA, Colourful Magic PLA is derived from renewable plant-based sources and is 100% biodegradable in commercial composting facilities. It’s a great option for decorative prints where sustainability matters alongside aesthetics.
