Description
EIBOS Series X: Dyas — Dual-Chamber Active Drying for Bambu Lab AMS1
The Dyas brings the same proven Proteus heating technology found in EIBOS’s flagship Tetras dryer into a more compact, two-chamber format — purpose-built for Bambu Lab AMS1 users who want genuine active dehumidification without the cost or footprint of a full 4-chamber system.
Your AMS excels at multi-material storage and switching, but moisture is its silent enemy. The Dyas eliminates that weakness at the source, keeping filament dry from storage through to the nozzle without consuming extra desk space or disrupting your printing workflow.
Proteus Heating Core — Field-Tested Precision
The Dyas uses the identical Proteus heating core that powers the premium Tetras — not a scaled-down or experimental element, but the same refined technology proven across thousands of installations. This delivers ±1–2°C temperature accuracy across the full 20–65°C operating range, giving you genuine confidence that your engineering filaments are drying at the temperature you actually set.
Auto-Seal Technology
Intelligent auto-seal lids open automatically during active drying cycles to facilitate moisture extraction, then close and seal automatically once drying completes — creating a protective dry-storage environment that prevents moisture reabsorption. No manual intervention required; your filament stays protected even when you’re focused on managing your print queue rather than your dryer.
Two Independent Chambers, Four Spools
Each of the two chambers accommodates two spools (four total) and operates completely independently — different materials at different temperatures, simultaneously, with no compromise. Running Nylon in one chamber and PLA with PVA supports in the other, both dried to their correct specifications at the same time, is exactly what the Dyas is built for.
Run both chambers for maximum throughput, or activate just one to minimise power draw when you’re only drying a single material — the choice is yours, and power scales with how much you’re actually using.
Why Independent Temperature Control Matters
Engineering materials like nylon and carbon-fibre composites demand different drying protocols than standard PLA or PETG. Sharing a single chamber and temperature setting across dissimilar materials means compromising one to accommodate the other. With the Dyas’s dual independent chambers, you never have to make that trade-off — each material gets its own correct environment.
Non-Destructive Mounting
The Dyas mounts directly onto your Bambu Lab AMS1 unit without cutting, drilling, or breaking changes to the original hardware — a clean, reversible installation that doesn’t compromise your AMS if you ever want to remove it.
65°C Maximum — Why Not Higher?
Like the Tetras, the Dyas caps drying temperature at 65°C. Bambu Lab’s own spool labelling specifies filament reels shouldn’t exceed roughly 70°C for safe handling — EIBOS set the ceiling at 65°C to protect the filament and spool integrity under sustained, AMS-integrated drying.
Compatibility
Bambu Lab AMS1 (Generation 1) only.
Important: The Dyas is engineered specifically for AMS1 hardware and is not compatible with the AMS2 Pro. If you’re running AMS2 Pro, see our Tetras listing, which supports AMS2 Pro with a printable adapter.
Dyas vs Tetras — Which to Choose
Dyas
Two chambers, four spools total. Lower power draw (up to 120W both chambers, 60W single chamber). AMS1 only. Best for smaller multi-material setups or users who don’t need full 4-chamber capacity.
Tetras
Four chambers, eight spools total. Higher throughput for busy, high-volume AMS setups. AMS1 direct, AMS2 Pro with adapter. Best for print farms, workshops, and heavy multi-colour users.
Both share the same Proteus heating core and ±1–2°C accuracy — the choice comes down to capacity and compatibility with your specific AMS generation.
