Hotend Heating Assembly for Bambu Lab H2D / H2C

This is a compatible replacement hotend heating assembly for the Bambu Lab H2D and H2C — the component that heats the hotend and provides the clamping mechanism enabling quick hotend swaps on these dual-nozzle printers. If your heating assembly has failed, is throwing temperature errors, or the clamping mechanism has worn out, this is the direct replacement.

What the Heating Assembly Does

On the H2D and H2C, the hotend heating assembly is a separate component from the hotend itself — it houses the heater, thermistor, and the clamping mechanism that lets you quickly remove and swap hotends for maintenance or nozzle changes. This design separates the electrical/heating components from the wear-prone nozzle assembly, so a worn nozzle doesn’t mean replacing the heater, and a heating fault doesn’t mean replacing the nozzle.

Left and Right Are Not Interchangeable

Important: the H2D and H2C each use two separate heating assemblies — one for the left hotend, one for the right — and they are not interchangeable. Check which side has failed before ordering, and select the matching Left or Right variant. Installing the wrong side’s assembly will not fit correctly.

When to Replace

Heating failure or temperature error messages tied to one hotend position, slow or inconsistent heat-up on one side while the other performs normally, damaged or worn clamping mechanism causing loose or unreliable hotend seating, physical damage to the heating assembly from a crash or wiring fault, and as part of dual-nozzle toolhead maintenance when one side is underperforming.

Not compatible with the A1 series — H2D/H2C heating assemblies use a different interface and are not interchangeable with A1-series hotend components, even though they may look similar.

Installation

This is an internal toolhead repair involving disassembly of the part cooling fan, air duct, and cable routing. Power off the printer and disconnect from mains power before starting. Allow the hotend to fully cool — never touch the heat block while hot, to avoid burns.
