Magigoo Pro PA — The Adhesive That Solves Nylon’s Bed Adhesion Problem

Magigoo Pro PA is a professional-grade adhesive engineered specifically for polyamide (nylon) filaments — one of the most challenging material families to keep stuck to a print bed. Nylon’s naturally low adhesion to conventional build surfaces, combined with its strong tendency to warp, makes it notoriously unreliable without the right adhesive. Magigoo Pro PA is formulated to solve exactly this problem, developed and tested to work across a wide range of PA types and PA composite filaments.

Why Nylon Needs a Dedicated Adhesive

PA (polyamide) covers a group of polymers with an amide repeat unit — in FDM printing, the three main types are PA12, PA66, and PA6, sometimes grafted with other polymers or reinforced with glass or carbon fibre. Nylons deliver excellent strength, toughness, elasticity, wear resistance, chemical resistance, and thermal resistance, which is exactly why they’re so valued for industrial applications — but that same molecular structure gives them poor natural adhesion to standard build surfaces and a strong tendency to warp during printing. Generic adhesives and glue sticks simply aren’t formulated to handle this combination.

Because different classes of PA filament behave differently on the bed, Magigoo Pro PA has been developed and tested to work with a wide range of PA and fibre-reinforced filament brands — including nylon CF15 and GF15 composite blends. Whether you’re running standard PA6, high-strength PA66, or a carbon/glass fibre reinforced nylon, this adhesive is built to handle it.

Thermal Release — Easy Part Removal

Like other Magigoo Pro formulas, PA is designed to release its grip as the bed cools. The print should pop right off once cooled. If a part doesn’t lift off easily by hand, a part removal tool can be used to gently lift it — and if you’ve printed with a brim, peel that off first before attempting removal.

Excess Adhesion Tip

If a part is proving unusually difficult to remove, wet the print bed with a small amount of water and slowly work it beneath the part — this typically loosens the bond and makes removal significantly easier.

How to Use

Shake the bottle before use. Apply to the desired area by pressing the nib on the bed to activate the internal valve, then spread evenly across the print area. Print according to your filament and printer manufacturer’s recommendations. For larger prints, a 20mm brim is recommended to further improve adhesion reliability.

Important: use this adhesive with PA-type filaments only — applying it to other material types can cause over-adhesion and damage your build surface.

Cleaning

Wipe off residue with a damp cloth until the surface is clean. Only use water to clean Magigoo residue — other solvents are not recommended and won’t work as effectively. If switching between different Magigoo formulas on a glass plate, wipe the surface once more after rinsing your cloth to avoid cross-contamination between adhesive types.
