Reusable Magnetic Reference Markers for 3D Scanning

These high-reflectivity magnetic dot markers are used as reference points during 3D scanning to help your scanner track its position and align scan data accurately. Place them on or around the object being scanned, and the scanner uses their known positions to stitch multiple scan passes into a single, accurate 3D model.

Each pack contains 200 magnetic markers, giving you plenty of coverage for large objects, complex geometry, and multi-session scanning workflows.

Why Reference Markers Matter

Structured light and laser 3D scanners build a complete model by combining multiple individual scans taken from different angles. Reference markers give the scanner fixed points it can recognise across overlapping scans, allowing the software to align them precisely. Without markers, the scanner relies entirely on geometry recognition, which can fail on flat, featureless, or repetitive surfaces.

Adding markers to the scan area dramatically improves alignment accuracy, reduces scan errors, and speeds up the scanning workflow — especially on objects with smooth, uniform, or symmetrical geometry where the scanner struggles to find natural reference points.

High-Brightness Reflective Film

Each marker uses a silver-white reflective PET film with densely arranged glass beads that provide strong, consistent reflectance across a wide viewing angle. This means the scanner can detect the markers reliably from different positions and distances, even in challenging lighting conditions. The high-contrast black border around the reflective centre ensures clean edge detection for precise marker positioning.

6 x 10mm Size

Each marker has a 6 mm reflective inner dot within a 10 mm outer diameter. This compact size works well for scanning small to medium objects where larger markers would obscure surface detail. The size is compatible with most structured light 3D scanners including Creality, Revopoint, Einscan, and other brands that support marker-assisted scanning.

200 Pieces — Magnetic & Reusable

The magnetic base means every marker can be placed, removed, and repositioned indefinitely without adhesive or residue. No single-use sticker sheets, no cleanup, and no ongoing consumable cost. Place them on any ferrous (steel/iron) surface, scan, and collect them when finished. At 200 per pack, you have enough markers for even the most complex scanning projects while always having spares on hand.

For non-ferrous objects (aluminium, plastic, wood, etc.), place the markers on a steel fixture, turntable, or surrounding surface rather than directly on the object.
