Description

Micro Swiss FlowTech™ DiamondBack Nozzle — The Most Advanced Nozzle in the FlowTech Range

The FlowTech™ DiamondBack Nozzle is a collaboration between Micro Swiss and DiamondBack, bringing a proprietary Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) insert — developed from 40 years of diamond technology research — to the FlowTech ecosystem. It’s the top-tier nozzle option for anyone who wants to print virtually any filament, from standard PLA through to abrasive carbon-fibre composites, without switching nozzles between jobs.

Solid Diamond Tip — Why It Matters

The PCD insert delivers a combination of properties no other nozzle material can match: thermal conductivity of 543 W/m·K, hardness of 49.8 GPa, and a friction coefficient as low as 0.01. In practical terms, this means faster, more even heat transfer to the filament, extreme resistance to bore wear from abrasive particles, and reduced internal friction that helps prevent clogging and improves flow consistency.

Versatile — One Nozzle, Any Filament

Because the diamond tip resists wear from even the most aggressive abrasive materials, the DiamondBack nozzle handles standard filaments and carbon-fibre or glass-fibre reinforced composites without needing to swap nozzles between print jobs. If you regularly switch between PLA display prints and CF-reinforced functional parts, this nozzle removes the need to keep changing hardware to match the material.

Extended Lifespan

The diamond insert’s superior wear resistance and thermal conductivity significantly extend the nozzle’s working life compared to traditional hardened steel or even standard coated nozzles — fewer replacements, less downtime, and consistent print quality maintained over a much longer service interval.

Construction

The nozzle body is machined from copper-chromium-zirconium — a high-temperature alloy that retains its strength at elevated temperatures better than standard copper — and finished with an electroless nickel plating for corrosion resistance and a smooth, consistent surface.

Available Sizes

0.25mm

Ultra-fine detail printing for miniatures and high-resolution models.

0.4mm

The standard all-rounder, balancing detail and flow for everyday printing across all materials including carbon fibre composites.

0.6mm

Higher throughput for faster functional prints, with reduced clogging risk on heavily filled abrasive filaments.

0.8mm

Maximum flow for large structural parts, draft prototypes, and fast printing where fine detail isn’t the priority.

Important — FlowTech Ecosystem Only

This nozzle is only compatible with the Micro Swiss FlowTech™ hotend ecosystem. It is not a universal V6, Nextruder, or Bambu Lab-compatible nozzle — you must already be running (or be installing) a FlowTech hotend for your specific printer platform for this nozzle to fit and function correctly.
