Phaetus EndCoat™ Nozzle for Creality K1C / K1 Max / Ender-3 V3

The Phaetus EndCoat™ nozzle for the Creality K1C platform combines a hardened steel body with Phaetus’s patented EndCoat™ coating — achieving HV3300 surface hardness and extending service life up to 2.5 times longer than standard hardened steel. It’s the mid-range upgrade between the stock bimetallic nozzle and the premium silicon carbide option, delivering significantly better wear resistance at a more accessible price.

If you print abrasive filaments regularly but don’t need the 7× lifespan of silicon carbide, the EndCoat™ nozzle is the sweet spot of performance and value.

EndCoat™ — Why It Outlasts Standard Hardened Steel

The stock K1C bimetallic nozzle uses a copper body with a hardened steel tip — effective, but the steel tip still wears over time with abrasive filaments. EndCoat™ adds a proprietary coating to the critical wear surfaces that increases hardness to HV3300, dramatically slowing bore wear and maintaining a precise orifice diameter over much longer use.

The coating also provides low-friction properties, reducing filament adhesion inside the bore for smoother flow and less internal buildup.

0.4 mm

The standard all-rounder. Best balance of detail and speed for everyday printing across all materials including carbon fibre and glass fibre composites.

0.6 mm

Higher throughput for fast functional prints. Recommended for abrasive CF and GF filaments where the wider bore reduces clogging risk while maintaining good detail.
