The Phaetus EndCoat™ nozzle for the Creality K2 series combines a hardened steel body with Phaetus’s patented EndCoat™ coating — achieving HV3300 surface hardness and extending service life up to 2.5 times longer than standard hardened steel nozzles. It’s the mid-range upgrade between stock nozzles and the premium silicon carbide option, offering significantly improved wear resistance at a more accessible price.

Available in 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm for the K2 Plus, K2, K2 Pro, and Creality Hi.

EndCoat™ — What Makes It Different

Standard hardened steel nozzles resist abrasion better than brass, but they still wear over time. EndCoat™ is a proprietary coating applied to critical wear surfaces that increases hardness to HV3300 — far beyond uncoated hardened steel (HV700+). This dramatically slows bore wear and maintains a precise orifice diameter over a much longer service life.

The coating also provides low-friction properties, reducing filament adhesion inside the bore for smoother flow and less internal buildup — cleaner prints with fewer blobs.

0.4 mm

The standard all-rounder. Best balance of detail and speed for everyday printing across all materials including carbon fibre and glass fibre composites.

0.6 mm

Faster functional prints with higher throughput. Recommended for abrasive CF and GF filaments where the wider bore reduces clogging risk while maintaining good detail.

Choose EndCoat™ if you print abrasive materials regularly and want significantly better nozzle life without the premium price of silicon carbide. Choose silicon carbide if you print CF/GF daily and want the absolute longest service interval possible.

All-Metal Integrated Quick-Swap

The nozzle uses an all-metal integrated design with tight joint fitting that prevents filament leakage during printing. The K2 series quick-swap system allows nozzle changes in under 2 minutes without tools.
