Cut PTFE Tube Cleanly — Without Squashing It

A PTFE cutter makes a clean, square cut through PTFE tubing without crushing or deforming the tube wall. This matters because a squashed or angled PTFE cut creates a gap between the tube end and the nozzle inside the hotend — and that gap is where filament collects, carbonises, and causes clogs.

Standard scissors, side cutters, and craft knives all deform PTFE tube when cutting. A dedicated PTFE cutter slices through cleanly, leaving a perfectly round, flat end that seats flush against the nozzle. If you’re replacing bowden tubes or doing hotend maintenance, this tool prevents the number one cause of hotend clogs from a bad tube cut.
