Description
Super Lube Multi-Use Synthetic Lightweight Oil — ISO 68, 118mL
Super Lube 52004 is a synthetic, multi-purpose lightweight oil perfectly suited for lubricating 3D printer linear rails, lead screws, and other precision moving components. Its ISO 68 viscosity strikes a versatile balance — thin enough to penetrate tight linear rail bearings and lead screw threads, while still providing genuine lasting lubrication and protection against wear.
Beyond 3D printing, it’s equally effective across a huge range of general mechanical applications — RC hardware, hinges, locks, small motors, and general workshop maintenance.
Perfect for 3D Printer Linear Rails
Linear rails and lead screws need regular, light lubrication to keep motion smooth, quiet, and accurate — too thick an oil or grease attracts dust and debris, while running dry accelerates wear and introduces play into the motion system over time. Super Lube’s lightweight ISO 68 formula is exactly the right viscosity for this job: light enough to flow into the rail’s ball bearing channels without gumming up, yet durable enough to maintain a protective film between moving surfaces during sustained high-speed motion.
Regular application to X, Y, and Z axis linear rails and lead screws keeps motion smooth, reduces mechanical noise, and helps preserve the precision your printer was calibrated to.
Wide Temperature Performance
Rated from -40°C up to 260°C, this oil maintains stable performance across an unusually wide temperature range — excelling in cold conditions where thicker oils stiffen and lose effectiveness, while still holding up in warmer environments near heated printer components without breaking down.
Excellent Oxidation Resistance & Water Separation
The formula resists oxidation over time, extending its useful service life compared to standard mineral oils. It also separates readily from water, allowing easy removal of moisture contamination and helping keep lubricated systems clean and running smoothly.
Resists Foaming
Foam resistance keeps oil filter and lubrication intervals longer where applicable, and maintains a cleaner overall system in enclosed mechanisms — beneficial anywhere consistent, uninterrupted lubrication matters.
Food-Grade Certified
NSF H1 registered for incidental food contact, meeting food-grade lubricant standards. While this level of certification is primarily relevant to food processing equipment, it’s a useful indicator of the oil’s purity and safety profile for general household, workshop, and printer maintenance use as well.
Precision Applicator
The 4oz bottle includes a precision applicator tip, allowing controlled, minimal-waste application directly onto rail bearings, lead screws, or the exact point that needs lubrication — no drips, no mess, no over-application onto nearby electronics or belts.
