Description
AESUB Violet — Long-Lasting Vanishing Scanning Spray
AESUB Violet is a self-vanishing scanning spray developed by scanning experts to solve the everyday problems of preparing objects for 3D scanning. It temporarily coats shiny, transparent, or otherwise hard-to-scan surfaces with a thin, homogeneous matte layer, so your scanner can capture accurate geometry. Once scanning is done, the coating evaporates on its own, leaving no residue and no cleanup.
Spray, Scan, Done
Spray
Spray from a distance of 15–20 cm, covering the whole surface you want to scan. Move the can slowly and evenly back and forth with the nozzle pointed at the object. Avoid “wagging” the can, as this gives an uneven coating.
Scan
Let the coating dry completely, then scan as normal.
Done
The layer evaporates by itself after scanning. There’s no wiping, no solvents, and no time-consuming cleanup of the object or the scanning area.
Pigment-Free — Protects Your Equipment
Conventional matting sprays leave pigment deposits that can contaminate scanners, fixtures, and the surrounding work area. AESUB Violet is free of pigments, so there is nothing to build up on your equipment. That matters most in laboratories, production environments, and other sensitive areas where contamination and cleaning downtime are real costs.
Long-Lasting Coating
Violet is formulated to stay on the object for longer than shorter-lived vanishing sprays. That makes it the better choice for longer scanning sessions, large objects, and jobs where you need to rescan or check results before the coating disappears.
Thin, Homogeneous Layer
The coating goes on thin and even, which keeps fine surface detail visible and gives the scanner a consistent, non-reflective surface to work with.
No Transport, No Cleaning
Because the coating vanishes on its own, objects don’t need to be matted somewhere else and carried to the scanner. There is also no cleaning of the object or measuring environment afterwards, which saves time across the whole digitisation process.
Why Scanning Sprays Are Necessary
Optical 3D scanners struggle with shiny, transparent, translucent, and highly reflective surfaces. Light scatters or passes straight through, which leaves gaps and noise in the scan data. A thin matte coating gives the scanner a surface it can read accurately, without permanently altering the object.
Applications
Metrology and quality inspection in laboratories and production environments
Reverse engineering of shiny, reflective, or transparent parts
Scanning delicate or finished objects that can’t be cleaned or repainted afterwards
Any 3D scanning workflow where scanner contamination needs to be avoided
Safety
Do not spray near open flame or ignition sources. Do not puncture or burn the can, even after use. Protect from sunlight and avoid temperatures above 50°C. Use in a ventilated area and avoid prolonged skin contact.
