Hotend Heating Assembly Kit for Flashforge AD5X

This complete heating assembly kit replaces the heater and temperature sensing parts on the Flashforge AD5X hotend. The heater cartridge and thermistor come pre-installed, with the metal clip and mounting screws included, so you can swap the whole assembly in one go and get the printer heating reliably again.

It’s a ready-to-install replacement set, and a good first step when the AD5X shows heating errors or can’t hold temperature.

Complete Kit — Everything in One Set

The kit combines the heater cartridge, the thermistor (temperature sensor), the metal clip that holds the hotend in position, and four fixing screws. Replacing them together means the heater and sensor are matched and the clip is fresh, which avoids fitting a new heater into a worn clamp that doesn’t hold the hotend firmly.

Plug and Play — No Soldering or Crimping

The thermistor and heater arrive pre-installed, so there’s no need to splice, solder, or crimp any wiring. It connects through the printer’s standard hotend connector.

When to Replace

Heating failure or temperature error messages, slow or inconsistent heat-up to target temperature, nozzle temperature fluctuating during printing despite correct settings, a thermistor reading that jumps or sits at an impossible value, frayed or damaged wiring on the heater or sensor, a cracked or deformed base, a loose clip that no longer holds the hotend firmly, and filament melted around the assembly after a printing failure.

Before replacing, check the hotend connector is fully seated. A loose connection can cause symptoms similar to a failed heater or sensor.

Installation

Power off and unplug the printer, and let the hotend cool completely before starting. Remove the old heating assembly, fit the new one, secure it with the clip and screws, and reconnect the wiring, making sure the connector is fully seated and the cable isn’t pinched when you refit the cover.

After installation, power on the printer and heat the hotend to confirm the temperature rises normally and the readings are stable before resuming normal printing.

Never touch the heating assembly or nozzle while it’s hot.

Compatibility

Flashforge AD5X

Not compatible with the AD5M, AD5M Pro, Creator 5, or Creator 5 Pro. These printers use their own heating assemblies.
