Rapid Gradient Silk PLA — Fast, Frequent Colour Shifts with a Glossy Sheen

Rapid Gradient Silk PLA is engineered for ultra-fast colour transitions — the gradient shifts happen far more frequently along the filament length than standard gradient silk PLA, producing tighter, more compressed colour bands on every print. Combined with the glossy silk finish, this creates a busier, more dynamic rainbow effect than slower-transitioning gradient filaments, with colour changes visible even on smaller prints.

It prints with standard PLA settings on any FDM printer — no special hardware, no enclosure. Load it and print.

What Makes It “Rapid”?

Standard gradient PLA transitions between colours gradually over a longer stretch of filament, meaning smaller prints might only show one or two colours from the spool. Rapid Gradient Silk PLA compresses these transitions much closer together, so even compact models display multiple colour bands and visible shifts — you don’t need a tall vase-mode print to see the full rainbow effect.

Silk Finish — Glossy & Light-Catching

Alongside the rapid colour transitions, the silk formulation adds a glossy, reflective sheen that catches light and gives prints a polished, almost metallic appearance. The combination of fast colour shifts and silk shimmer produces a genuinely eye-catching result that’s difficult to replicate with standard filaments or manual painting.

Nozzle temperature: 190–220°C (higher = more glossy sheen)
Bed temperature: 0–60°C
Print speed: 50–200 mm/s
Diameter: 1.75 mm ±0.05 mm
Enclosure: not required
Drying: 50°C for 6+ hours if moisture issues appear
