Description
IckySticky Thin CA Super Glue — Fast-Setting Penetrating Adhesive
IckySticky Thin CA is a low-viscosity cyanoacrylate (super glue) that bonds in 1–5 seconds with excellent wicking action. The thin formula flows into joints, seams, and tight gaps by capillary action — touch it to the edge of a join and it draws itself in, creating a strong bond without needing to disassemble and reapply. It even bonds through oily or dirty surfaces where thicker adhesives would fail.
Available in three sizes to match your usage — 20g for occasional use, 50g for regular builders, and 120g for heavy users and workshops.
Three Sizes Available
20g
The compact size for toolboxes, hobby desks, and occasional repairs. Enough for dozens of small bonds.
50g
The mid-range option for regular model builders, RC hobbyists, and makers who reach for thin CA frequently.
120g
The workshop bottle for heavy users, production runs, and anyone tired of replacing small bottles. Best per-gram value.
All sizes include a pin cap to prevent nozzle clogging between uses.
Why Thin CA?
Thin CA is the most versatile viscosity for precision bonding. Its low viscosity and capillary action make it the go-to choice for bonding tight-fitting parts where you need the adhesive to flow into the joint rather than sitting on the surface. It penetrates porous materials like balsa wood, strengthening the fibres from within, and runs along seam lines to bond pre-fitted assemblies without disassembly.
Best For
Bonding 3D printed parts — PLA, PETG, ABS, resin
Scale model assembly — resin, metal, and photo-etch parts
RC model building — balsa, plywood, carbon fibre, and composite structures
Miniature and wargaming assembly — metal and resin figures
Quick repairs on household items, ceramics, and jewellery
Reinforcing porous materials like balsa wood and MDF
What It Bonds
Works Well On
Wood (including balsa), metal, aluminium, resin, rubber, ceramic, china, pottery, fibreglass, most plastics, 3D printed parts (PLA, PETG, ABS, SLA resin), leather, and fabric
Not Recommended For
Polystyrene model kits — use solvent cement (Extra Thin Cement) instead for a chemical weld. Thin CA will bond polystyrene but produces a weaker adhesive bond rather than a solvent weld. PE and PP plastics — most super glues won’t bond polyethylene or polypropylene without surface treatment.
Thin vs Medium vs Thick CA — Which to Choose
Thin CA
Water-like viscosity. Flows into joints by capillary action. Bonds in 1–5 seconds. Best for tight-fitting parts, wicking into seams, and penetrating porous materials.
Medium CA
Syrup-like viscosity. Stays where applied with slight flow. Longer working time. Best for general-purpose bonding and parts that need positioning before the bond sets.
Thick CA
Gel-like viscosity. Stays exactly where applied. Longest working time. Best for gap-filling, vertical surfaces, and porous materials where thin CA would soak in too fast.
