Description
QIDI Max4 Dual-Sided PEI Plate
This genuine QIDI build plate is sized specifically for the Max4’s full 390 × 390mm build area, with a textured PEI coating on both sides of a flexible spring steel base. Print on one side, flip to the other when it eventually wears, and get double the usable life from a single plate — a straightforward way to keep printing without doubling up on spare plates.
Textured PEI, Both Sides
The textured PEI surface delivers strong first-layer adhesion during printing, while still allowing finished parts to release cleanly once the plate has cooled. Because both sides carry the same coating, you effectively get two build surfaces in one plate — if one side develops wear or damage over time, simply flip it over and keep going.
Flexible Spring Steel Base
The plate’s spring steel construction lets you remove finished prints by simply flexing the sheet — no scraping, no prying, no risk of gouging the surface or damaging the part underneath. This is especially valuable on a plate this large, where scraping a big, flat print off a rigid bed is both awkward and risky for the surface coating.
Wide Filament Compatibility
The PEI surface works effectively across a broad range of materials, including PLA, PETG, ABS, and other common FDM filaments — a genuine all-rounder plate for the Max4’s large-format print jobs rather than a specialty surface for one material type.
Maintaining Adhesion
Dust and grease on the plate surface reduce adhesion over time — clean regularly with detergent and water to keep first-layer performance consistent. If adhesion drops off on a particular print, increasing bed temperature can help; adjust based on your specific filament and print requirements.
Removing Prints
Always allow the plate to cool for a few minutes before attempting to remove a finished print. Removing parts while the plate is still hot risks damaging both the print and the plate surface, and shortens the plate’s working life.
Consumable Part
Like all coated build surfaces, this plate is a consumable component that will gradually wear with regular use — expect to eventually replace it as part of normal printer maintenance, particularly with heavy day-to-day usage.
Compatibility
QIDI Max4 (390 × 390mm build plate)
Not compatible with the QIDI Plus4, Q2, or other QIDI models — those printers use different plate sizes.
