Complete Kit — Not Just a Component

Rather than sourcing a thermistor, heater cartridge, and base separately, this kit combines everything into one module using integrated terminal connectors. The all-metal, modular design eliminates the need for wiring or stripping work, making installation straightforward — remove the old assembly, connect the new one, and you’re printing again.

Zirconia Insulated Base

The insulated mounting base is made from zirconia ceramic, which significantly reduces heat transfer to surrounding components — helping isolate the heater block from the heat sink and reducing the risk of heat creep affecting nearby parts. This contributes to more stable, accurate temperature control throughout long prints.

Why Replace the Heating Assembly?

Common signs include temperature error codes or “Preheat error” messages on the printer screen, slow or inconsistent heat-up to target temperature, nozzle temperature fluctuating during printing despite correct settings, and unreliable extrusion traced to heating rather than the nozzle or extruder itself. Replacing the entire heating assembly resolves these faults without needing to isolate which individual component (heater, thermistor, or base) has actually failed.

The kit maintains stable temperature and even heat distribution, supporting the Kobra X’s high-speed printing capability up to 600mm/s. The heater cartridge reaches up to 300°C, suitable for the vast majority of common FDM filaments including PLA, PETG, ABS, and TPU.

Installation

Power off the printer before beginning replacement. Remove the old hotend, disconnect the old thermistor and heater cartridge, and install the new assembly using the reverse order — no special tools or electrical knowledge required thanks to the standard plug-and-play connectors.
