Description
OEM Hotend for Bambu Lab H2, P2 & X2 Series
The Bambu Lab H2/P2 Hotend is a genuine OEM replacement designed for Bambu Lab’s latest generation of printers — the H2D, H2S, H2C, P2S, and X2D. Featuring an all-metal construction with support for nozzle temperatures up to 350°C, this hotend handles everything from standard PLA through to high-performance engineering materials including PA-CF, PC, and other demanding composites.
The H2/P2 hotend uses a special design that separates the thermal and electronic components, making maintenance and swaps faster and simpler than previous generations. Unlock the latch, swap the hotend, and get back to printing — no tools, no fuss.
Available Nozzle Options
0.2 mm Stainless Steel (SS) — Maximum resolution for miniatures, fine text, and intricate models. Best with non-abrasive filaments like PLA, PETG, and silk. Not recommended for carbon fibre or glass fibre composites — the small orifice is prone to clogging with particle-loaded filaments.
0.4 mm Hardened Steel (HS) — The standard all-rounder. Balances print speed and detail across all materials, including abrasive composites like PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PA-CF, and PA-GF.
0.6 mm Hardened Steel (HS) — Faster prints with thicker layers. Ideal for functional parts, enclosures, and larger models. Recommended for carbon fibre and glass fibre filaments to minimise clogging risk while maintaining good detail.
0.8 mm Hardened Steel (HS) — Maximum speed and material throughput. Best for large structural parts, draft prototypes, vase-mode prints, and high-infill functional components where rapid turnaround is the priority.
Designed for Quick Latch-Release Swaps
The H2/P2 hotend features a latch-release mechanism that separates the thermal components from the electronic wiring. This means you can swap the hotend body and nozzle without disconnecting any cables — simply unlock the latch, slide out the old hotend, slide in the new one, and lock it back in place. The whole process takes seconds, making it practical to keep multiple nozzle sizes on hand and swap based on the job.
Always ensure the hotend has cooled down before swapping. Avoid touching the heat block during removal to prevent burns.
350°C Maximum Temperature
The H2/P2 hotend supports nozzle temperatures up to 350°C — 50°C higher than the previous X1/P1 generation. This expanded temperature range opens up reliable printing with high-performance materials including PA (nylon), PC (polycarbonate), PA-CF, PA-GF, PET-CF, and other engineering-grade filaments that require sustained high temperatures for proper layer adhesion.
Why Hardened Steel?
The three hardened steel nozzle options (0.4, 0.6, 0.8 mm) resist abrasive wear from carbon fibre, glass fibre, metal-fill, glow-in-the-dark, and other particle-loaded filaments. Standard brass or stainless steel nozzles wear out quickly with these materials, leading to widened bore diameters and inconsistent extrusion. Hardened steel maintains a precise orifice over a much longer service life.
For carbon fibre and glass fibre filaments, Bambu Lab recommends using a 0.6 mm or larger hardened steel nozzle to minimise clogging risk.
Compatibility
This hotend is compatible with the following Bambu Lab printers:
Bambu Lab H2D — compatible with both left and right hotend positions
Bambu Lab H2S
Bambu Lab H2C — compatible with the left (lifting) hotend only
Bambu Lab P2S
Bambu Lab X2D — compatible with both left and right hotend positions
Important: For dual-nozzle printers (H2D, X2D), both hotends must be the same nozzle size. This hotend is not compatible with the X1 Carbon, P1P, P1S, A1, or A1 Mini — those printers use different hotend designs.
