Description
Premium Extruder Gear Upgrade for Bambu Lab Printers
The BIQU Panda Claw is a drop-in extruder gear upgrade designed specifically for Bambu Lab 3D printers. It replaces the stock extruder gears with golden RNC nano-coated hardened steel drive gears and a precision CNC-machined aluminium idler arm, delivering stronger filament grip, smoother extrusion, and significantly longer gear life — especially when printing abrasive carbon fibre or glass fibre filaments.
If you’ve noticed worn teeth on your stock extruder gears, inconsistent extrusion, or grinding marks on filament, the Panda Claw is the upgrade that solves it.
What’s Included
Golden RNC nano-coated hardened steel drive gear — exceptional hardness and wear resistance
Self-lubricating brass spur gear with 5-spoke lightweight design, pre-coated with MoS2 anti-wear grease
CNC-machined AL6061 T6 aluminium idler arm — ultra-tight tolerances eliminate unwanted movement
MoS2 lubricating grease for installation

Why Upgrade to the Panda Claw?
The stock Bambu Lab extruder gears are functional but will wear over time, particularly if you regularly print abrasive materials like carbon fibre, glass fibre, or metal-fill filaments. The Panda Claw addresses this with hardened steel construction and a nano coating that dramatically extends gear life.
The optimised tooth profile provides more even filament flow, resulting in smoother outer wall surfaces and better print consistency. The self-lubricating brass spur gear reduces friction and its lightweight 5-spoke design lowers moving mass and inertia for improved positional accuracy during fast retractions.
The CNC-machined aluminium idler arm replaces the stock component with a high-strength, precision-toleranced alternative that removes play and wobble from the gear assembly.
Compatibility
The Panda Claw is available in two variants to fit your specific printer. Select the correct option when ordering:
X1C, P1P, P1S variant — fits Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, P1P, and P1S
A1, A1 Mini variant — fits Bambu Lab A1 and A1 Mini
Both variants are a direct drop-in replacement with no permanent modifications required.
Installation
The Panda Claw installs in approximately 10–15 minutes with basic tools. BIQU provides detailed installation instructions on the BTT Wiki. Apply the included MoS2 grease to the spur gear during installation for optimal performance.
