Description
Bambu Lab H2C Induction Hotend (Right) — Standard Flow
This is the genuine Bambu Lab Vortek Induction Hotend for the right-side fixed position on the H2C, in the standard flow variant. The Vortek system uses up to six interchangeable induction-heated hotends to deliver true multi-material printing with dramatically reduced purge waste compared to single-nozzle AMS setups, and this induction hotend is one of the core components that makes it work.
Standard flow covers everyday printing needs — everything from PLA and PETG through to nylon and standard-flow engineering materials — without the added cost of the high flow variant.
Fast, Precise Induction Heating
The Vortek Induction Hotend heats to printing temperature in approximately 8 seconds (tested with PLA) — dramatically faster than resistive heating on a shared single nozzle. This rapid response shortens colour-change transitions during a print, keeping multi-material and multi-colour jobs moving quickly rather than stalling on temperature changes between swaps.
Eliminates Purge Flushing — Under 7 Filaments
Because each hotend is a dedicated unit for its assigned filament rather than a shared melt path, the hotend-swap mechanism eliminates purge flushing during filament changes when printing with fewer than seven filament types. This significantly cuts material waste and speeds up multi-colour prints compared to systems that purge and clean the nozzle on every colour change.
Each Vortek hotend stores its own filament information locally, ensuring correct material mapping and preventing loading errors. When printing with more than seven filament types, the system intelligently optimises hotend mapping to minimise purge waste and improve overall efficiency.
Contactless Connection — No Oxidising Pins
Rather than contact-based metal pins that can oxidise and degrade over time, the Vortek system uses a contactless, high-frequency power and signal interface. This delivers a stable, long-lasting connection for accurate temperature control and synchronised hotend operation, without the reliability issues that plague pin-based contact systems over thousands of swap cycles.
Built-In Protection
Integrated overheat, overvoltage, short-circuit, and open-circuit protection ensure reliable performance during continuous multi-material workflows — important given how frequently these hotends cycle through heating and swapping during a busy multi-colour print.
Right Position — What It’s For
Bambu Lab’s guidance for hotend placement:
If you print only single-colour filament, use the fixed (right) induction hotend.
If you need multi-colour printing with the AMS, connect the AMS to the right-side fixed hotend.
If you want to use a second hotend for support-material printing, use the liftable (left) hotend instead.
TPU85A is only supported on the right-side fixed hotend.
PET-CF, PPA-CF, and PPS-CF are supported only on the left-side liftable hotend — not on the right induction position.
Available Sizes
0.2mm, 0.4mm, and 0.6mm nozzle sizes are available. 0.4mm is the standard all-rounder, 0.2mm for fine detail, and 0.6mm for faster throughput and reduced clogging risk with abrasive filaments.
Compatibility
Bambu Lab H2C, H2C Laser, H2C Combo, H2C AMS Combo, H2C Laser Full Combo — right-side (fixed) position only.
Not compatible with the H2D, H2S, P2S, X2D, or A1 series — those platforms use a different hotend interface without Vortek’s induction and contactless connection system.
