Description

High Flow Hotend Kit with Hardened Steel Nozzle for Bambu Lab P2S / X2D

This compatible hotend kit is a quick-swap replacement for the Bambu Lab P2S and X2D, combining a high-flow melt zone with a hardened steel nozzle. It melts more filament per second than a standard-flow hotend, so you can print faster before running into the under-extrusion that limits a stock setup, and the hardened steel tip stands up to abrasive filaments like carbon fibre and glass fibre.

It’s an aftermarket alternative to the Bambu Lab hotend, ready to drop in.

High Flow — Print Faster Before Hitting the Limit

Every hotend has a maximum volumetric flow, the amount of plastic it can melt and push out per second. When you ask for more than that, you get under-extrusion, weak layers, and rough surfaces. A high-flow hotend raises that ceiling, so large models, thick walls, dense infill, and fast print profiles all print better and finish sooner.

The biggest gains show up with larger nozzles and thick layers, so a 0.6mm or 0.8mm high-flow nozzle on a big, structural print gives the largest time saving.

Hardened Steel Nozzle

Brass wears down quickly under carbon fibre, glass fibre, and other filled filaments, and a worn nozzle prints inaccurately and clogs more often. Hardened steel resists that abrasion, so the nozzle keeps a precise bore over many more print hours. It’s a good everyday choice if you mix standard and reinforced filaments.

Quick-Swap Design

The P2S and X2D use a quick-swap hotend system, and this kit fits it directly. No tools-and-rewiring rebuild is needed, so changing nozzle size or replacing a worn hotend takes minutes. Keeping a spare hotend on hand also lets you switch between a fine nozzle and a high-flow one without cleaning or re-tuning between jobs.

Choosing a Nozzle Size

0.4mm

The standard all-rounder. A good balance of detail and speed for everyday printing.

0.6mm

Faster prints and stronger parts. Also the recommended size for carbon fibre and glass fibre filaments, since the wider bore clogs less often.

0.8mm

Maximum flow for large functional parts, vase-mode prints, and draft prototypes where speed matters more than fine detail.

Installation

Power off the printer and let the hotend cool completely before starting. Remove the existing hotend following the Bambu Lab Wiki guide for your printer, fit the new hotend, and make sure it seats fully and the connector is secure. After installing, update the nozzle information on the printer screen if the nozzle size or material has changed, and refer to the Wiki for any calibration steps.

Never handle the hotend while it’s hot.
