Bicolour Silk PLA — Two Colours, One Luxurious Silk Finish

Bicolour Silk PLA blends two vibrant silk colours into a single filament strand, producing prints with smooth dual-tone colour transitions and a glossy, light-catching sheen. The two-colour effect creates dynamic gradients and shifting highlights as the model is viewed from different angles — the silk finish amplifies this by reflecting light differently across each colour zone, giving prints a polished, almost metallic depth.

It prints with standard PLA settings on any FDM printer. No special hardware, no enclosure — load and print.

How the Bicolour Silk Effect Works

Two silk-pigmented colours are blended into the filament, with each colour occupying a portion of the filament cross-section. As layers print, the two colours appear in varying proportions depending on the model geometry, producing dual-tone gradients that shift as you rotate the print. Flat surfaces tend to show one dominant colour, while curves, edges, and angled faces reveal the secondary tone with silk shimmer.

The effect is purely from the filament structure — no special slicer settings or multi-material setup required.

Nozzle temperature: 190–220°C (higher = more glossy sheen)
Bed temperature: 0–60°C
Print speed: 50–200 mm/s
Diameter: 1.75 mm ±0.05 mm
Enclosure: not required
Drying: 50°C for 6+ hours if moisture issues appear
